  1. About the commercial format the TNT will probably use…

It sounds like what has been commonly done when the World Cup has been televised. It will look like picture-in-picture. A small square in a corner will occasionally appear and show commercials while the game, or race in this case, continues in the main picture.

  2. I think I could certainly live with that.

With the proliferation of large screen and large format TV’s it does seem like it’s time to try new forms of advertising.

As racing NEVER takes a real break once that green flag drops, anything that allows us to see all the action would seem to be a positive thing for the sport!

  3. Well, now we’ve seen it.

If this were a democracy I’d have to vote “FOR” there new format! True, some of the little “skits” were lame but quite frankly - many of the “regular commercials are as well.

Actually, I got distracted with the “free” Track Pass. So, when they’d go to “skits” or cut away to the local cable inserts - I’d turn down the volume and crank up the in-car scanner. :)

  4. I liked the new format. It was nice not to “Miss” much. Espeically at a Superspeedway where things happen fast and can be big. It was a nice change.
